Privacy Policy

The Local Drop is a local business directory and coupon app for Panama City Beach, Florida, operated by The Local Drop LLC. This policy covers the mobile app and the website at thelocaldrop.app.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you create an account. We use it to sign you in, to confirm the address is yours, and to match your membership to your account.
• Your name, if you give us one. It is stored with your account and shown back to you in the app. We do not share it or use it for anything else.
• The businesses you save. Stored on your device so your list survives closing the app.
• A profile photo, if you set one. This stays on your device and is never uploaded.
• If you delete your account and choose to tell us why, we keep the reason and any comment you write, along with your email, so we can act on it.
• If you are an administrator, the business listings, coupons, events and photos you create.

What we do not collect

• We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. There is no advertising identifier, no third-party analytics SDK, and no profiling.
• We never see or store your card details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe or, if you subscribe through an app store, by Apple or Google.
• We do not collect your location. The app is about one town; it does not need to know where you are.
• We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not send marketing email.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase — accounts, the directory, and file storage.
• Stripe — subscription payments taken on the web.
• Apple and Google — subscription payments taken inside the app, where offered.
• Resend — sending account confirmation email.
• Expo — delivering app updates.

These providers process data on our instructions in order to run the service, and each is bound by agreement to protect it to the same standard set out in this policy. Live beach and road camera feeds come from third parties, and we send them nothing about you.

How long we keep it

Your account and its data are kept until you delete them. Deleting your account removes it and your subscriber record immediately and permanently. The one exception is the feedback described above: if you chose to tell us why you left, that reason and your email stay until we have acted on it.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel that with Stripe, Apple or Google, whichever you paid through.

Your choices

• Delete your account at any time from Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. It takes effect immediately and needs no request to us. You can also request deletion from the web.
• Turn notifications on or off in the same Settings list, or in your phone settings.
• You may ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or erase it, by writing to the address below. If you cannot reach the app, email us and we will delete your account for you.
• You can withdraw your consent at any time. Turning notifications off stops that permission; deleting your account withdraws it entirely and erases what we hold. Neither costs you anything and neither needs our approval.

Children

The Local Drop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
